Peace Breaks The Sound Barrier

What started out as a special one-off project is proving to be extremely popular as an acoustic barrier across a wide range of applications. It all began when Sydney based noise control specialist Peace Engineering worked together with AGL to design and fabricate an acoustic wall that could be erected in a matter of a few hours.

Typically the most effective sound absorbent walls are often built of materials that are thick and heavy. What Peace has developed is a lightweight noise control solution they're calling 'Sound Barriers' that can be flat packed and installed anywhere, quickly and easily.

Concrete road barriers are the base, which provide not only strength but also contribute to sound absorption performance. Peace Sound Barrier acoustic panels then slide on top of the concrete barriers to create an acoustic wall up to 3 metres high acting as an absorption and transmission barrier. They provide effective noise reduction for an entire site in applications where large acoustic enclosures are not feasible.

The panels can be installed anywhere in any configuration, so they're ideal for when construction or public works are occurring close to houses. Peace Sound Barriers can be painted externally to your preferred colour and even act as a security wall to help keep out intruders. These innovative new noise control solutions have been eagerly accepted by councils and construction contractors due to their flexibility and speed of erection compared to custom made acoustic solutions. Despite their light weight, Peace Sound Barriers are also robust and durable.
